Green education, education for tomorrow

Sylvain Wagnon

How can we implement a new form of education, green education, in order to tackle the environmental challenges of our time? France, Europe, and the world do not yet seem to be fully committed to this path.

Yet, in this chaotic world, green education initiatives are emerging at the local, national, and international levels. How can we make them heard? How can we enable everyone to participate in a major reflection and action for our societies?

This book starts from the observation that our schools and education system are in crisis and examines possible ways forward. Using concrete examples, the author offers a comprehensive analysis and perspective that demonstrates that green education is not a utopian dream.

Defining green education as the education of tomorrow is not simply a statement, but a necessary comprehensive analysis of the methods, purposes, and role of education and pedagogy in our societies.

Making green education a genuine social project, based on the idea of a new social and ecological contract, is indeed everyone's business.
