The Passerelles Project: Coming Together Through Literature

The Passerelles Project at the University of Montpellier’s School of Education aims to develop students’ literary culture and introduce them to the diversity of reading and writing practices.

Through individual and shared reading, meetings, workshops, and various literary events, the project invites future education professionals to explore the diversity of practices and ways of sharing literature.

The goal is to make literature a space for discovery, reflection, creativity, and sharing, by enabling students to develop their own relationship with texts while experimenting with practices that they can, in turn, apply in their future professional settings.

The Passerelles project is offered at all campuses of the School of Education in various forms:

  • Literary Cafés and Book Clubs
  • Writing workshops
  • Participation in the CRD literary prize
  • Participation in literature-related events (comédie du livre, faites de la lecture, nuit de la lecture)
  • Meetings with Authors and Figures from the Cultural World
