International Relations at the FDE

Every year, we organize several hundred incoming and outgoing exchanges for students (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD), trainers, teacher-researchers and education experts. Scientific and pedagogical exchanges with foreign partners enrich our training programs.

The Faculty of Education maintains close relations with some twenty countries, including Switzerland, Finland, Thailand, Morocco, the United States, Canada, Spain and the Czech Republic.

Issues related to linguistic and cultural diversity, international collaboration and mobility, and the hosting of foreign students and colleagues, have been driving the Faculty of Education's international orientation for many years. Aware of the rapid evolution of education and teacher training systems, the Fde has developed an international policy based on interculturality and the discovery of education systems around the world.

The principles

Three principles underpin the international policy of the Faculty of Education:

  • interculturality, with the discovery of different educational systems a possible key to better understanding and opening up to other cultures

  • reciprocity insofar as the mobility or exchanges implemented are, as far as possible, balanced and mutual

  • solidarity, in particular with partners in emerging countries or countries with specific needs to which Fde can respond or provide support

The missions

  • Organize various forms of mobility for Fde students and researchers wishing to go abroad

  • Organize the reception of foreign students or researchers wishing to study at the Fde or collaborate with its research teams.
