Introducing the documentation service (SD)

The Document Resource Centers (CRD) of the Faculty of Education have the status of libraries associated with the libraries of the University of Montpellier.

They are coordinated by the FdE Documentation Service, which manages subscriptions for all, and makes joint purchases to maintain the document collections.

The Documentation Service is managed by a teacher librarian.

It represents the CRDs in various bodies, supports CRD and CEDRHE projects, and represents the FdE's documentation policy, in close collaboration with the UM's Service Commun de Documentation.

Services

Lending rules are identical for all CRDs, as in Montpellier's BUs10 documents for 3 weeks

FDE by-laws available here

In order to have more time to consult a document, you can extend your loan (ENT > Libraries > your name at top right > my loans):
  • If the document is not reserved by another reader
  • If your account is not blocked (late payment penalties, etc.)
  • If your extension does not concern a short loan (competition annals, ...)
  • If you have not missed the return deadline

The extension entitles you to an additional 10 days for undergraduate and graduate students, and external readers.

Access to CRD resources also includes the University's electronic documentation (ENT > Bibliothèques):
  • tens of thousands of digital books and magazines
  • online press
  • specialized databases, particularly in the field of education
