I'm looking for information about Licences (L1, L2, L3) :
- 1 -Pluridisciplinarity and professions in teaching, education and training / PPPE
- 2 - STIEF license
- 3 - Licence Pro. Coordination of early childhood facilities
- 4 - CEEDDR Professional License
You must first submit your wishes in Parcoursup, between January 15 and March 3, 2025, then confirm these wishes before April 2.
A commission will examine your wishes and, if your ranking allows it, you will receive an admission proposal from June 2, 2025, which may be affirmative ("yes") or conditional on reinforcement in French or mathematics during your first year of undergraduate studies ("yes if"). You will then have to accept or refuse our proposals, according to the Parcoursup timetable.
Final enrolment for our courses will only be possible once the results of the baccalauréat have been published, i.e. from July 7.
The procedure is identical to that for future baccalaureate holders: you need to register your wishes in Parcoursup, according to the same timetable as for Terminale students. This procedure applies to all those wishing to enroll in the1st year of a bachelor's degree, whether in initial or continuing education, and whether to continue or resume their studies.
Yes, for the "Pluridisciplinarité et métiers de l'enseignement, de l'éducation et de la formation" degree, it is entirely possible to enroll at several Faculty of Education sites. As the program is offered at our five sites (Carcassonne, Mende, Montpellier, Nîmes and Perpignan), you can increase your chances of getting into the program by choosing several sites, or even all of them.
However, it is important to know that each application counts as one wish in Parcoursup.
On the other hand, the "Preparatory course for the professorship of schools" (PPPE) is only offered at the Montpellier site.
But it is possible to apply for both licenses at the same time.
No, except in rare cases and for the L2 year only; direct enrolment in L3 is not possible (except for the L3 STIEF - see the specific section for this license).
In exceptional cases, direct enrolment in L2 may be accepted for students who are reorienting their studies, and who can prove that they have a level of study that would enable them to obtain the equivalent of a1st year bachelor's degree.
Applications for direct entry to L2 must be submitted via the eCandidat portal, between May 9 and June 14, 2025. You will be asked to submit a cover letter indicating the course(s) you would like to apply for, in order of preference, your1st year undergraduate transcripts, your1st and Terminale transcripts, and your baccalauréat results. If you do not indicate a training site, we will suggest the site with the highest number of vacancies.
You will receive an answer directly via the eCandidat portal between July 7 and 11, 2025. If your application is accepted, you will be offered an assignment site. If you accept this proposal, you will be informed of the dates and registration procedure.
After the academic jury for bachelor's degrees, scheduled for July 3, 2025, you will be informed directly by e-mail (by the Faculty of Education's education department) of the registration procedures for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The application process has also been simplified for students already enrolled at the Faculty of Education.
Entries will be accepted from July 7 to 16, 2025. Entries will only be accepted online.
A second registration period may be opened if required from August 22, 2025.
In accordance with current regulations, students have the right to repeat a bachelor's degree. However, the University of Montpellier sets a limit on the number of times a student may register for a given degree; thus, for bachelor's degrees, a student may register a maximum of six times for the same course. If you do not validate your year, you will receive an e-mail at the beginning of July telling you how to re-register.
After the academic jury on July 3, 2025 (for repeat students), you will receive an e-mail from the Faculty of Education's Registrar's Office with details of how to register for the following year.
Please note: due to the limited number of places available in L1, L2 and L3, registration deadlines are very tight: for the 2025-2026 year, you will only be able to register between July 7 and 14, 2025.
Registrations will be made exclusively online.

As the Master MEEF 1er degré is offered at our five sites (Carcassonne, Mende, Montpellier, Nîmes and Perpignan), you will need to submit an application for each site, depending on which site(s) you wish to apply to. By applying to several Faculty of Education sites, you multiply your chances of being selected and of joining the course at the start of the next academic year.
To support your application, you'll need to provide various documents, some of which will be used to rank all candidates. In particular, the following elements will be taken into account:
- Whether or not you have taken a "pre-professionalization" teaching unit during your bachelor's degree; this unit must be validated and appear on one of your bachelor's degree transcripts;
- The degree you are preparing (or have already obtained, if applicable);
- Your baccalaureate series ;
- The averages obtained in the first five semesters of your degree (the 2 semesters of L1, the 2 semesters of L2, and the 1st semester of L3).
If your application is accepted at one of the sites, you will then receive a placement offer directly via the Mon Master portal. If you accept this offer, you will then be informed of the final registration procedure.
The Master MEEF 2nd degree offers three distinct courses, enabling students to prepare for three competitive examinations:

The MEEF Master's in Training Practice and Engineering offers four distinct courses:
- Didactics of the Humanities (DIDHUM) ;
- Inclusive education and practices - Ordinary class (EPI-CO) ;
- Inclusive education and practices - special education (EPI-ES) ;
- Knowledge, learning, training, identity, research (SAFIR).
The "Education et pratiques inclusives - Classe ordinaire (EPI-CO)" and "Education et pratiques inclusives - enseignement spécialisé (EPI-ES)" tracks are differentiated only in the 2nd year of the Master's program. The 1st year (M1) "Education and inclusive practices" is common.
Admission criteria differ for each of these courses. To find out about the prerequisites and conditions of access, please consult the corresponding section on the Faculty of Education website.
Yes, this special competition is prepared at two sites of the Faculty of Education, depending on the regional language concerned:
- Catalan on the Perpignan site;
- Occitan on the Carcassonne and Mende sites.
In addition, the Master 1 MEEF1er degré langue régionale occitan is also offered in FADH (hybrid distance learning) at the Carcassonne site (see the section on Master 1 MEEF1er degré en FADH for more information).
If you wish to register specifically for this competitive examination, you can submit a specific application on the Mon Master portal. This application can be added to any applications for the Master 1 MEEF 1er degré that you may already have submitted.

A pre-professionalization UE is a course that can be taken during the bachelor's degree course by students intending to become teachers in one discipline or another. It enables these students to acquire an initial understanding of the teaching profession.
Applications (also known as pre-registration) will be open from Tuesday February 25 to Monday March 24, 2025, for all our Masters programs.
Applications (also known as pre-registration) will be open from Tuesday February 25 to Monday March 24, 2025, for all our Masters programs.
Yes, the pre-professionalization course is not a compulsory prerequisite for entry to the MEEF master's program.
This is a plus, as it attests to an initial knowledge of the teaching profession, but is by no means a requirement.
All applications will be examined by a commission. Answers will be communicated to all applicants from Monday June 2, 2025. As with Parcoursup, you can either be admitted, put on the waiting list or rejected. If you are admitted, you will have a period of time in which to accept or reject the admission offer. If you are definitively accepted, all other offers that may be made to you are cancelled. Full information on this subject is available on the Mon Master portal.

Yes, you can apply if you hold a higher education diploma (bac+3) validating the acquisition of 180 ECTS credits at the time of your final registration, as long as your diploma is recognized at this level by France Compétences (ex-RNCP). If you have any doubts about your (future) diploma, please contact your school or training organization.
After the Master's academic jury, scheduled for Friday July 4, 2025, you will be informed directly by e-mail (by the Faculty of Education's education department) of the registration procedures for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Some schools or training organizations issue transcripts only by the year, not by semester. When you submit your application, you must send us all the transcripts you have, or equivalent documents. Once we have checked the documents in your application file, we will contact you if we need any clarification in order to process your request.
In accordance with current regulations, the University of Montpellier has set a limit on the number of times a student can register for a degree. For Masters courses, a student can register a maximum of four times for the same course. If you are authorized to re-register, simply follow the registration procedure that will be sent to you.
I want to increase my chances of getting into the master's program: can I register on several sites?
You can apply to more than one training site. When you submit your application, it's up to you to apply for one or more of our sites. The application is taken into account at the level of the master's degree (the MEEF master's degree in "1st grade"), which counts as one wish (out of the 15 you have); each application for a site is considered a "sub-wish" and is therefore not taken into account in the count of wishes you have.
After the academic jury set for July 4, 2025, if you are authorized to re-enroll in M1 or M2, you will be informed directly by e-mail (by the Faculty of Education's schooling department). You will also be informed of the registration procedure.
Please note: due to the limited number of places available in both M1 and M2, registration deadlines are very tight: for the 2023-2024 year, you will only be able to register from July 5 to 14, 2025 . Enrolment is exclusively online.
Yes, but only on the Carcassonne site. This is a hybrid distance-learning course (FADH), which means that although the courses are distance-learning, the training includes compulsory group periods at the Carcassonne site, as well as periods of work experience. The Carcassonne site also offers the Master MEEF1er degré langue régionale occitan en FADH.
The FADH course is designed for people with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) who wish to become school teachers and prepare for the corresponding competitive examination.
However, this type of training is strictly reserved for students who, for professional or personal reasons, are unable to follow the classroom-based course.
As a result, if you apply to enter the Master MEEF1er degré en présentiel, this means that you meet the conditions to follow the training in this way. Therefore, if you decide to apply for the FADH program and at the same time apply for the face-to-face course, the Faculty of Education may not consider your FADH application.
Application procedures are the same as for face-to-face training (please refer to the corresponding section).
Applications (also known as pre-registration) will be open from Tuesday February 25 to Monday March 24, 2025, for all our Masters courses. These dates are the same for face-to-face training and hybrid distance learning (FADH).
For FADH, in addition to the documents and information required to examine applications for entry to Master 1, applicants will also have to provide, via the Mon Master platform, a cover letter and CV, as well as proof of their personal and/or professional situation: employment contract, family record book...
All applications will be examined by a commission. Answers will be communicated to all applicants from Monday June 2, 2025. No, unless you have already taken and passed the M1 MEEF 1er degré in another académie.
Applications are examined individually by an admissions committee.
Applications for direct entry into M2 must be submitted via the eCandidat portal, between May 9 and June 14, 2025. You will be asked to submit a cover letter indicating the course(s) you would like to apply for, in order of preference, together with your transcripts for the1st year of your Master's degree and your transcripts for the three years of your Bachelor's degree.

General registration information
The final registration periods vary from course to course: for registration in the1st year of a bachelor's degree or1st year of a master's degree, the registration calendar is a national calendar, determined by the Ministry.
A link to the Faculty of Education's registration page will be sent by e-mail to the students concerned.
With a few exceptions (see below), registrations can only be made online.
The entire enrolment procedure is paperless: you can enrol yourself from a distance. All required documents and supporting evidence can be scanned and submitted via the PJweb application (link available on the Faculty of Education website).
Payment of registration fees (unless exempted) can also be made online by credit card (secure transaction) or by bank transfer. The Faculty of Education does not accept cash. For payment by cheque, once you have submitted your application and supporting documents online, you will need to make an appointment with the Education Department either by telephone (04.67.61.82.86) or by e-mail (fde-inscriptions@umontpellier.fr). However, you must plan to visit the Montpellier site, which is the only one authorized to collect fees.
Once you've registered, your ENT (digital work environment) will be automatically created: you'll receive an e-mail at the address you gave when you registered, containing a link you'll need to click on within 24 hours. You will then be asked to create your password. You will then be able to download your school certificate.
Once you have paid your registration fees (online or on site - if you are not exempt from paying fees) and all supporting documents have been validated, your student card will be issued and you will be able to download your certificate of enrolment directly from your ENT. The CMS (multiservice card = your student card) will be issued to you at the start of the academic year, on presentation of your ID (for all students) and the original copy of your diploma (for M1 enrolment) or transcript of your baccalauréat (for L1 enrolment).
Exceptions Students who have already been enrolled at the University of Montpellier (whatever the faculty, school or institute) in the past, but who were not enrolled in the previous academic year (interruption of studies or enrolment in another institution for the year 2024-2025), and these students alone, will have to register in person. You will then need to contact the Faculty of Education's Education Department by e-mail(fde-inscriptions@umontpellier.fr). You will be sent a link to the page containing the registration form, the information sheet listing the various documents required, the image rights authorization and, for students under 18, the registration certificate to be completed by the legal guardian. You will need to download these documents, complete them and return them to us by e-mail (to the address given above). You will then be invited to make an appointment to come and pay.
Important : face-to-face registration is only possible at the Montpellier site even if you register at one of the other four Faculty of Education sites.
The advantages of online registration are numerous:
- it is completely secure, both for personal data and for payment;
- it saves a considerable amount of time and reduces the need to travel, particularly for students selected for the Carcassonne, Mende, Nîmes and Perpignan sites, since identity documents and diplomas are checked directly at the assignment site at the start of the academic year;
- your ENT (Digital Working Environment) is immediately created and your Scol'Pass (school certificate and receipt) is available within 24 hours of activation.
Yes, our entire range of courses is available as continuing education. The application procedure is the same as for the corresponding initial training, and the Faculty of Education manages all applications. However, candidates should contact the University of Montpellier's SFC (Service commun de formation continue) at the same time as they apply or register, without waiting for a response to their application(s):

No. Students enrolling in initial training must pay registration fees, the amount of which is defined at national level by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
Students enrolled in continuing education programs are required to pay a lump-sum fee more in line with the actual cost of a year's university education. This amount may vary considerably, depending on the individual situation and any reimbursements received. The university's continuing education department is your point of contact for all these questions.
University tuition fees for initial training are set annually by a decree issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
They differ depending on whether you are registering for a Bachelor's or Master's degree (but are identical for all three Bachelor's and two Master's degrees). The 2025-2026 registration fee for a Bachelor's year is 178 euros, and for a Master's year 254 euros. To these amounts must be added the cost of the CVEC (105 euros for 2025-2026).
If you are a French government scholarship holder, a grant holder on social criteria or a ward of the nation, you are exempt from tuition fees and the CVEC.
CVEC is the Student and Campus Life Contribution. Its purpose is to help create, consolidate and strengthen various services:
This contribution is "intended to promote the reception and social, health, cultural and sporting support of students, and to bolster the preventive and health education actions carried out for their benefit" (article L. 841-5 of the French Education Code).
Payment is made directly to CROUS via the website: cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr
For information, the amount set for the 2025-2026 academic year was 105 euros.
Exempt from this fee are students on scholarships or receiving an annual allowance under the specific annual aid scheme, refugee students, students benefiting from subsidiary protection, and students registered as asylum seekers who have the right to remain in France.
Bursary recipients who have received their conditional bursary award are automatically detected on the cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr website, and can download their CVEC payment certificate once they have completed the online procedure, without paying or advancing the fee.
In addition, if you become eligible for contribution exemption during the academic year, you can obtain a refund of the contribution you have previously paid.
Payment of the CVEC is a prerequisite for enrolment at the University. Whether you are subject to the CVEC or exempt from it, you can obtain a certificate of payment of the CVEC at the end of the process, which must be provided when you register. The university will not be able to finalize your registration without this certificate.
As far as the refund of your registration fees is concerned, it all depends on the date of your withdrawal or resignation.
All resignations must be reported to the Schooling Department of the Faculty of Education, which will send you a form to complete, including all the information you need to know if you wish to cancel your enrolment.
If you withdraw before September1, 2025, you will be reimbursed the registration fee by contacting the Faculty of Education's Schooling Department, which will provide you with a form to fill in and return, together with a letter specifying your request, a bank account details and the paid receipt (included on your Scol'Pass). Registration fees will be refunded by bank transfer within a minimum of 2 months.
If you withdraw after September1, 2025, the refund is not automatic, but must be reviewed by an exemption commission. The deadline for returning the refund application is set by the University of Montpellier; for 2024-2025, this deadline was November1, 2024. The exemption commission meets every year in November. To request an exceptional refund, please contact the Education Department, which will provide you with a form entitled "Demande de remboursement exceptionnel des droits d'inscription" ("Request for exceptional refund of tuition fees"). Please return this form with a detailed letter explaining why you have withdrawn from your course, as well as your bank details and receipt of payment.
If the commission accepts your request, you will be informed by post and reimbursed within a minimum of 2 months of the decision being sent to you. If the commission refuses your request, you will be informed by post; no appeal is possible in the event of refusal.
For the CVEC, the procedure is carried out directly online, on the https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/ website.
If you have paid your tuition fees before receiving notification from CROUS that you have been awarded a scholarship, you are entitled to a refund. To do so, contact the Montpellier Faculty of Education's schooling department, which will send you the form to complete and return, together with the corresponding supporting documents.
If you have also paid the CVEC, you can request a refund directly on the https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/ website.
