A Look Back at Early Childhood Day: Exploring the Senses to Foster Healthy Growth

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the Perpignan campus of the School of Education hosted an Early Childhood Day, organized as part of the Pyrénées-Orientales Early Childhood Steering Committee.

Dedicated to the theme “Exploring Sensory Experiences for Better Growth: Sensory Development and Early Childhood Enrichment,” this event brought together numerous professionals from the fields of early childhood education, general education, recreational activities, local government, the nonprofit sector, and the medical-social sector.

Through discussions, presentations, and workshops, participants were able to deepen their understanding of young children’s sensory development and its connections to well-being, learning, co-education, and professional practices.

The event also provided an opportunity to bring together local stakeholders, exchange experiences, and share concrete ideas that can be directly applied to supporting young children.

A highlight centered on sharing, collective reflection, and the enrichment of professional practices, all in support of young children’s development and well-being.
