This program is designed to prepare students for careers in secondary education, with two main objectives.
- The first is a specialization in the technology taught in junior high schools, the engineering sciences taught in general and technological high schools, and the industrial and sustainable development sciences and techniques (STI 2D). The courses cover subject areas such as mechanics, electronics, civil engineering, automation, digital computing, etc., seen as resources for the analysis of multi-technology systems. The educational sciences are also covered in depth: the education system, didactics, pedagogy, curricula and reference systems, etc. This part of the course is designed to prepare students for the four options of the "CAPET Industrial Engineering Sciences", intended for the recruitment of teachers of these specialties in junior high schools, high schools and even some BTS. It is also aimed at current or contract teachers wishing to train for a teaching qualification in middle and/or high schools.
- The second objective, relating to vocational high schools, specializes future teachers in preparing vocational students in the fields of Industrial Science and Technology (STI) (mechanical, electrical, civil engineering...). In addition to the traditional contributions in the fields of Industrial Science and Technology, which are essential to these courses, the cemaster's program includes major contributions in educational science and didactics, based on official reference documents, as well as training for course preparation. It goes without saying that the oral and written communication skills required for the teaching profession will also be covered.
In both cases, preparing students for the competitive examination remains an essential objective, with the longer-term aim of preparing professional, reflective teachers who deliver high-quality teaching. The Master's program also includes a research-based approach to teaching.

After the academic jury set for July 4, 2025, if you are authorized to re-enroll in M1 or M2, you will be informed directly by e-mail (by the Faculty of Education's schooling department). You will also be informed of the registration procedure.
Please note: due to the limited number of places available in both M1 and M2, registration deadlines are very tight: for the 2023-2024 year, you will only be able to register from July 5 to 14, 2025 . Enrolment is exclusively online.
In accordance with current regulations, the University of Montpellier has set a limit on the number of times a student can register for a degree. For Masters courses, a student can register a maximum of four times for the same course. If you are authorized to re-register, simply follow the registration procedure that will be sent to you.
After the Master's academic jury, scheduled for Friday July 4, 2025, you will be informed directly by e-mail (by the Faculty of Education's education department) of the registration procedures for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The application process has also been simplified for students already enrolled at the Faculty of Education.
Entries will be accepted from the day after the judging until July 16, 2025, exclusively online.
A second registration period may be opened if required from August 22, 2025.
All applications will be examined by a commission. Answers will be communicated to all applicants from Monday June 2, 2025. As with Parcoursup, you can either be admitted, put on the waiting list or rejected. If you are admitted, you will have a period of time in which to accept or reject the admission offer. If you are definitively accepted, all other offers that may be made to you are cancelled. Full information on this subject is available on the Mon Master portal.
Candidates on the waiting list will be called as and when they drop out.
No ranking on the waiting list will be communicated to interested parties.
All responses will be sent to candidates via the Mon Master platform.
You will be notified directly of the procedure for your final registration as soon as you have accepted an offer of admission to the master's program.
Applications (also known as pre-registration) will be open from Tuesday February 25 to Monday March 24, 2025, for all our Masters programs.
Registration is a two-stage process: first, you need to submit an application via the Mon Master portal; a link to this application is already available on our website, in the "Registration" section.
To support your application, you'll need to submit a cover letter detailing your background and career plans, as well as a CV, via the Mon Master portal.
