Are you interested in becoming a company teacher or trainer?

  • To enroll in the Industrial Engineering Sciences for Middle and High Schools and Industrial Sciences and Techniques for Vocational High Schools programs of the Master's degree in Teaching, Education and Training (MEEF) - Faculty of Education / INSPÉ.
  • To prepare for the CAPET, the CAFEP Sciences industrielles de l'ingénieur in junior high schools, in general and technological high schools and the CAPLP techniques industrielles in vocational high schools to become a teacher in the fields of engineering sciences and industrial techniques. Faculty of Education / INSPÉ.

The first

provides a solid grounding in the technical fields needed to analyze complex technical systems.

It also involves learning to mobilize several of these fields, such as mechanics, electronics, electrical engineering, robotics, IT and architecture, to understand the different functions and design choices of technical systems.

What is necessarily required in all these fields is not a high degree of specialization, but a multi-referentiality, a cultural background and the necessary foundations to allow for any in-depth studies generated by the particular technical characteristics of the systems themselves.

The second objective

is to prepare for the transmission of these skills, knowledge, operating principles, reasoning and analysis methodologies to middle school, high school and technical school students and/or adults in training.

Pedagogical contributions and the different didactics of middle school, high school, vocational school and in-company training, both continuing and initial, are therefore strongly present in the teaching.

A first approach to training secondary school teachers in the teaching of industrial engineering sciences and industrial techniques is therefore planned, in preparation for the teaching of technology in junior high schools, engineering sciences in general and technological high schools, and STI2D and industrial techniques in vocational high schools.

The third objective

is to prepare students for entry into Master 1 of the Industrial Engineering Sciences for Middle and High Schools and Industrial Sciences and Techniques for Vocational High Schools courses of the MEEF (Métiers de l'enseignment de l'éducation et de la formation) Master's program at the University of Montpellier's Faculty of Education.

This course prepares students for two types of competitive examination: the one and only "Industrial Engineering Sciences" CAPET for middle and high school teachers, and the various CAPLPs in the field of industrial techniques for vocational high schools.

This bachelor's degree, available in L3, is open to all students with a BTS in a technical field, or an IUT in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing (GEII), Physical Measurements, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical and Production Engineering (GMP), or Materials Science and Engineering (SGM).

An admission file (university curriculum, grades from previous semesters, letter of motivation) must be sent to the head of the STIEF course in the "Science and Technology" Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Education.
