A look back at the Fête de la science
As it has done every year for the past 9 years, the Science Village took up residence at the Montpellier site of the Faculty of Education on October 4 and 5, 2025. Workshops open to schoolchildren were also held at the Montpellier, Nîmes and Perpignan sites.

The Village des Sciences was officially inaugurated in the presence of Véronique Dominguez-GuillaumeRectrice déléguée for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Isabelle ParrotVice-President of the University of Montpellier, responsible for Science-Society Relations, and Agnès RobinDeputy Mayor of Montpellier in charge of Culture and Scientific Culture.

Fête de la science on the Perpignan site
As they do every year, Bachelor's students organized workshops for local schoolchildren.

Intelligence and communication in living beings
Intelligence is perceived as being unique to humans, yet it manifests itself in many different ways in other animals and plants. Through an investigation that will lead them to build a model, students will study modes of communication in animals to discover new manifestations of life and relationships between living beings.
Artificial intelligence: when machines help you learn
For the youngest (Cycle 1), there's time for games and screen-free discovery, with an "unplugged" workshop to help them understand AI in a different way.
For older children (cycles 2 and 3), the experience continues with two highlights: an unplugged activity for reflection, and another with tablets in hand to explore AI in action!

Fête de la science on the Nîmes site
The Nîmes site offered discovery workshops and scientific activities for elementary school pupils in the Gard region.

Social network communication: animal collaboration and cooperation in bees
Fun and educational workshops to explore the diversity of intelligence present in nature and human societies. It's a great way to combine creativity, education and scientific commitment, while promoting encounters between the academic world and young audiences.
These workshops have been designed and implemented by students from the Licence Pluri MEEF program, and are supervised by science trainers from the Nîmes site.
