Cherry Pick" exhibition - Carcassonne site

The second part of an exhibition on taste, Cherry Pick plays with the double meaning of the English expression, choosing cherries (the best, most desirable) and grabbing the best slice of cake (without any other qualms). Clearly, food choices reflect much more than simple taste preferences. They are powerful indicators of social status, shaping identities. So, in all subjectivity, several works from the Frac's collection are brought together around food, gestures and the art of the table, in the mode of refinement, humor or social criticism, sometimes bordering on taste and disgust. Beyond the good and the beautiful, all that's left is to savor the pleasure, through the experience of encountering the works!
