This exhibition is the result of an artist residency at Les Garrigues college in February 2021, on the theme of Art and Citizenship.
It was orchestrated by visual artist Frédérique Chevé, as part of the AET program.
The work produced, co-created by the artist, schoolchildren and parents, is a 5-meter-high banner, a textile work made up of pieces of fabric and paper, each expressing an idea, sewn together.
Frédérique Chevé leads cultural projects, residencies and artistic practice workshops with students from kindergarten to high school, local residents and people with disabilities, wherever the need arises. What drives her today: reaching out to audiences, even those furthest removed from the cultural arena; seizing the artistic tool to defend human values; making individuals, big and small, concerned about others and themselves in a society where creation must become everyone's business.
Opening: Tuesday, April 12, 12:30 p.m.
