The SEL project: Sow, Try Literature ! project aims to develop acculturation to all forms of literature and training in reading and writing in a variety of forms, for future teachers through individual and shared reading practice and specific forms of radio reading and writing.
Reading, saying, listening, seeing, writing literature: for a plural and radio transmission of literary texts.
- READ, SPEAK, LISTEN, SEE and WRITE literature. Varied ways of confronting texts.
- MEETING ALL LITERACIES: The project aims to give a prominent place to contemporary literature and children's literature, but also to fast-growing literary forms: digital and multimodal literacy (graphic novels).
- SHARE and DISSEMINATE practices, within the different promotions, between sites, between components and outside the University.
The SEL project is rolled out across all the Faculty of Education's sites in a variety of forms:
- Café littéraires / Reading circles
- Participation in the CRD literary prize
- Participation in literature-related events (comédie du livre, faites de la lecture, nuit de la lecture)
- Meet the authors
- Writing workshops
- Broadcast on the Bruits d'écoles web radio station, created by the Fde.

The SEL project is part of a call for projects for the I-site Program of Excellence.

Night of Reading – Perpignan website
The Night of Reading provided an opportunity for sharing and creativity at the Faculty of Education in Perpignan.
For this occasion, the students devised and presented a walking show, inviting the audience to explore the site to the rhythm of words. The show was based on the recitation of various literary texts—poetry, plays, essays, children's books—all centered around a common theme: the city and the countryside.
Throughout the performance, spectators were invited to listen, feel, and compare these two worlds, before being asked, at the end of the show, to take part in the experience by voting: city or countryside?
A moment that was sensitive, playful, and interactive, creating a genuine encounter between literature, student creativity, and the public. A wonderful moment, marked by exchange and conviviality.
